XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the XLRI, Jamshedpur – one of the premier institutes of India – for admissions to its post-graduate management programmes. However, XAT’s importance increases manifold because many other B-schools of the country accept XAT score as an important criteria for admissions to their post-graduate management programmes. The XAT exam is similar to CAT or any other MBA entrance exams, however, it has one section – Decision Making – which is a unique feature of XAT. Here is the list of major sections in XAT:

  • Verbal & Logical Ability
  • Quantitative Ability
  • Decision Making
  • General Knowledge

There are generally 100 questions in XAT asked from the above sections in a time duration of 180 minutes.
