Foreign words and phrases occupy a special importance in various exams having VARC as one of the section. For exams like IIFT, CAT, TISSNET, CMAT, and CLAT, having a good understanding of a foreign word’s meaning and it’s origin language is of utmost importance for maximizing the overall score. These foreign words generally belong to the languages like French, Latin, Greek, German, Russian and Italian.

In this session, we will discuss the origins, usage and meanings of some of the most commonly used foreign words in day-to-day English languages. The Part-3 of this series is specifically designed for IIFT exam but it is helpful for the Reading Comprehensions of all other MBA Entrance Exams.
